Divergent Series Audiobooks
The Divergent Series presents us with Beatrice Prior. Beatrice lives in a dystopian Chicago in a society divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue--Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). At sixteen everyone has to decide witch faction they will devote the rest of their lives. Beatrice has to follow her true nature and for that has to walk away from her family. This is where the fun begins. The series is about the Initiation process, all the psychological and physical tasks. As Beatrice (now called Tris) becomes better and better her confidence in her choice improves. This series is not about being an in depth analysis of where our society is going to evolve. It is really about the action. And that is a lot of fun.

Caster Chronicles Audiobooks
Little Southern town in the middle of nowhere. Nothing exciting happens since Lord knows when. Pretty boring, right? That's exactly what the main character Ethan Wate (the narrator) thought. Well something does happen. There is a mysterious new girl in town, Lena Duchannes, that strikes Ethan immediately. That seems enough for a good book (a good romance is always a good romance) but there is more... a lot more. Caster chronicles is full of mystery, suspense and magic. And all of that in the southern spirit (a character of its own). People stay awake at night to finish these for a reason :)

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Audiobooks
Percy Jackson and the Olympians show as what seems to be a perfectly normal teenager in boarding school. But if that was the case what would the fuss be about?
The fuss is about the incredible world Mr. Rick Riordan has managed to create. People get hooked in this adventures with characters from Greek Mythology.
Amongst all of that action are the teenager everyday situations with all those perks that make a book good. Real. To me that is an aspect particularly important in fantasy books. Some compare it to Harry Potter and say that it's not so good, but really, it gets to be compared with Harry Potter. That should mean something. At least it does to me :)

Vampire Academy Audiobooks
If you are thinking "Do I want to read another Vampire series?". When it comes to Vampire Academy the answer is yes. The series was part of the list of books most likely to inherit Twilight's throne, so you get the picture.
So let's look at the plot. In my opinion a boarding school for vampires just seems awesome from the start. The we move on to the female leaders. I think that having two friends (in witch one protects the other) and seeing how that friendship evolves through the myriad of situations they get into makes for a very good reading.
And then there are is the romance. That's what makes it or breaks it and this time it definitely made it.

Fifty Shades Trilogy Audiobooks
It's almost impossible not to know (at least the name) Fifty Shades. It makes one wonder... why is it that special? Fifty Shades is not the only erotic romance out there. It's not the only one exploring darker sensual scenes either. I get the impression Fifty Shades has just the right rhythm to allure a reader. When you come to think of it, there is really no reason to stop. Isn't it like the Cinderella story with a twist? Independent "I know it all... not really... but I don't care" girl meets the beautiful young and rich prince charming but this time with a dark side. In a way it's like we are luckier than Ana because we may never meet "prince charming" but we are not going to have to deal with the dark side either. One cannot help but wonder "would I like it? would I stay?". All and all it's a highly entertaining audiobook trilogy that raises a lot of questions, witch is always a positive sign.

Malcolm Gladwell Audiobooks
Malcolm Gladwell has a very clever approach to his writing. First of all you can feel his curious mind. There is a sense of purpose with his work. Is something interesting? Why? Is there any research that explains that interesting fact? Are there more stories supported by the same research? You can definitely see that there are hours of analysis before one word is written. And at the same time the final product is simple, looks effortless, as great literature should.
It's not for nothing that when someone needs a fresh approach to something, there is the expression "Malcolm Gladwell Approach".
In my opinion listening to Malcolm Gladwell Audiobooks is a privilege because they are read by Malcolm himself. I personally like them very much. Malcolm brings the apages to life and gives them the feeling of a very good college palestra. There are a lot of good stories and a lot of interesting research that will make you pause and think for a second... or two... or more... you will see.

A Song of Ice and Fire Audiobooks
A Song of Ice and Fire Audiobook Collection
There can never by too many great epic books or too many great fantasy books. People like to be surprised by the complexity of imagined worlds. That's what Tolkien's Meddle Earth has taught me. There is something magical about reading something totally invented. When it is well done, you fell like it really exists, it was just waiting for someone to tell the rest of the world about it. Reading good fantasy books, like George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series is like belonging to a secret club (well, not so secret now that the HBO adaptation is a huge hit).
Martin has set the bar high to whomever wants to come next. Much as Tolkien's, he has created an intricate world, populated by a huge cast of fascinating, complex characters, and boasting a history that stretches back twelve thousand years.
Three great story lines weave through the books, charting the civil war for control of the Seven Kingdoms; the defense of the towering Wall of ice in the uttermost north against the unearthly threat of the Others; and across the Narrow Sea the rise to power of Daenerys Targaryen and the last live dragons in the world.
In A Song of Ice and Fire Summers span decades. Winter can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun.
